りゅうげん(ひご)【流言(飛[蜚]語)】

a groundless [wild] rumor; a canard; a false report.

●近いうちにテロが起こりそうだと, 様々な流言(飛語)が飛び交っている. All sorts of rumors are abroad [in the air] about an impending terrorist attack.
